Notes on Trailer Part 1
Jan Taylor always thought she would find and marry a wonderful man who would take care of her and her children, no matter what it took. She soon found out that the love she so desperately wanted was a fantasy, a dream denied. Will Jan forget her dreams and fit them into her present day reality or will she remain strong in her convictions?
Thoughts to ponder: Life’s decisions are frequently made as a matter of survival without much attention to danger signs. Jan Taylor always thought she would find and marry a man who would take care of her and her children, no matter what it took. She soon found out that the love she desperately wanted was a fantasy, a dream denied.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Always enjoy learning from you.”
“Please continue to tell our story because we all have one.”
“I can’t tell you how your words are helping me, making me think of so many things I was not aware of.”
“When I saw the first video, I knew this was the way for you to reach hundreds, maybe even thousands.”
Thoughts to ponder: Unresolved hurts, betrayals, rejections, abandonments, and/or abuses can all lead to a scarred heart which damages mental well-being. How many of us have made decisions based upon the scarring of our hearts and not the healing of our souls?
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Thank you for sharing your stories with the world. Continue to write and empower the minds of others.”
Thoughts to ponder: Triggers, which are those things that remind us of painful events in our lives, can be difficult; however, the way they are handled makes all the difference in the world. Find out if you are a carrot, egg, or coffee.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Love this conversation.”
“I luv this visualization of triggers. These conversations are needed.”
“Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. This is a very old time word on pain. It helps us to know something is coming or something has already arrived.”
Thoughts to ponder: What I have discovered and determined about myself is that I am a loving being. I am determined to be a vessel of love and peace, declaring that I will bring no harm to others. I am not a vessel of hate, chaos, and confusion and I don’t abide in malice toward others. Question: Who are you?
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“As always, continue to encourage and write. You are reaching the world.”
“We all suffer with some type of mistaken identity. We must learn and know who we are!”
“I love this so much!”
“ Enjoyed!! Continue to encourage!”
“Awesome word!”

Thoughts to ponder: Everyday is another opportunity to transform yourself into whom God created you to be.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:

“I had to repost this!”
“That’s awesome! What a wonderful message, self-discovery.”
“Awesome!”
“I was a doormat for years for people!”
Thoughts to ponder: “Tis better to have loved and lost than never at all.” Alfred Lloyd Tennyson. Jan’s search for love caused her to throw caution to the wind. There were danger signs, but she chose to ignore them in the pursuit of happiness.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“This is awesome!”
“Absolutely awesome!”
“Jan better make up her mind!”
Notes on Trailer Part 2
Secrets, betrayals, and deception are painful. Painful memories can be destructive if allowed to control one’s life. The past cannot be erased, but present day situations can be changed and better the outcomes of the future.
Eric has been the recipient of “untrustworthiness” while Graham has inflicted it on others. How will Eric handle the healing process? Will Graham ever find a heart of contrition? What will Jan do?
Thoughts to ponder: Hope is a complex trait that is vital to the human experience. To hope is to remain steadfast and resist the urge to give up during difficult times. One thing is certain…hope is necessary but hope renewal is probable.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Very inspirational and powerful.”
“Very inspirational.”
Thank you again for sharing about hope.”
“Love this. Very inspirational.”
Thoughts to ponder: The measure or extent of our faith determines our perseverance. It is our faith that underlies or undergirds our hope that everything will be alright. However, beware of predators!
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Such a great lesson! Thanks for your wisdom!”
“I luv this, expanding on faith, hope, and pain.”
“Such a great lesson! Thanks for your wisdom.”
Thoughts to ponder: Vulnerability is to be human and to be human is to make mistakes. Remember, when we trust we are vulnerable to those we are trusting. It is important to make sure that vulnerability is worth the risk.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Don’t stop. Let God use you. Nothing like truth.”
“Excellent!”
“If only we had learned whom to trust earlier in life.”
“Keep up the good work.”
Reflections
Reflections are personal insights I have garnered throughout my life. Some were born out of pain and loss, others from joy and happiness. Such as:
- Are you true to yourself or a shadow of whom God created you to be?
- A dim light does nothing for a dark room. Do you allow your light to shine bright or turn on the dimmer switch?
- The sacrifice becomes clearer when the mission is well-intentioned and purposefully defined.
- Accept transformation. Things will be better when the process is completed.
- Life is about choices which determine consequences.
- Knowing who you are is worth it’s measure in gold.
- Never believe your values are dependent upon someone’s opinion because his/her opinion changes when you’re no longer valuable to him or her.
Thoughts to ponder: Frequently, people tend to think that the opposite of love is hate. I would like to postulate that the opposite of love may be suffering. What do you think?
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Thank you, Kathy. You have always blessed me with your words of wisdom and comfort.”
“Thanks for sharing the love that God has deposited in you.”
Thoughts to ponder: We are all wired to excel at those things that we are purposed here to bear. Life is a school. When you register for your classes, be sure to choose your purposeful course of study.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Thank you for sharing this.”
Thoughts to ponder: Purpose drives intentions which are complemented by motives. Examine your intentions and motives. Are they positive or negative? Everything we do will have a consequence, be it positive or negative. So, think carefully before a critical decision is made.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Thank you for the wonderful words of wisdom. This spoke to my heart and agree totally with the message which was well received.”
“Definitely makes one think!”
Thoughts to ponder: The visual representation of what patience looks like is metamorphosis, the life cycle of a butterfly. Transformation is a process not to be rushed, but to be analyzed.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Kathy, this story and lesson was exactly what I needed today. Bless you for sending it out at the exact right moment.”
“Patience is a lesson well learned. Patience can always make a difference in every situation.”
“Kathy, I just truly enjoyed it.”
Thoughts to ponder: A quote by Charles Krauthammer says, “A catastrophe awaits everyone from a single false move, wrong turn, or fatal encounter. Every life has such a moment. What distinguishes us is whether-and-how we ever come back”. Going through metamorphosis may bring shaky times. “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly”, an English Proverb.
Kathy C. Patterson
Thoughts to ponder: A complete metamorphosis takes time. A quote by Laurie Beth Jones says, “There comes a time in each of our lives when we can “flinch at the critical moment”, a point at which our very values are called into question. Don’t disrupt the process but allow it to unfold in its perfect time.
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Thank you for the chat links. Now that I’ve had time to watch them and absorb the powerful insights, I love them.”
“So true. When we extend love and it’s not received, it leads to disappointment. I’ve got to work on not taking it to heart.”
Thoughts to ponder: Conformity is in direct contradiction to the expression of our uniqueness. Question: Do you intend to remain unique or camouflage yourself to “fit in”?
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Omg!!! Love Love Love it!”
“I am who I am. No camouflage.”
“Beautifully said! When we camouflage ourselves, our gifts, our talents, we become an imposter. We are simply beautiful the way God made us.”
“Luv it Kathy!”
Thought to ponder: How do you” show up” to the world? As a bright light or a dim one?”
Kathy C. Patterson
Testimonials:
“Love it! I’m showing up today.”
Thought to ponder: Clarity becomes possible when transformation takes place.
